Chatham NJ Home Sales for September 2008

The Chatham NJ real estate market had 16 home sales for the month of September 2008.  Considering all the turmoil in the financial markets, and all the fear that the general public is exhibiting these 16 home buyers should be admired.  They moved forward when it was hard to move forward.  Now they may not feel like they got lucky, but when 3 or 4 years have gone buy, they will look back and likely say, thank god we purchased our home when we did, we got a very good deal and a very good interest rate.

Maybe some bargain hiding inside. But I don’t think now is the right moment to buy any house.

Warren, On the contrary, interest rates are down, prices are down, people are more negative than they have been in several generations, and the vast majority of people are thinking like you. The blood in the water investor just loves a market like this, and he/she almost always makes a killing on their investments. Starting in January we are likly to have the Obama effect, people are going to become more hopeful, and positive, and we are likly to see a big spurt of home buying going on in the Chatham NJ real estate market place, and the NJ real estate markets in general.
