Chatham NJ Real Estate On A Better Course


July was a very good month for Chatham New Jersey home sales.  36 homes sold and closed during the month.  Not bad at all.  Considering there are 143 homes currently for sale in Chatham and 39 homes which are under contract and awaiting transfer to their new owners.  I know this is not precise but a ruff estimate would be that we currently have only 5 months supply of homes for sale in Chatham New Jersey.

Things are looking brighter for the Chatham New Jersey real estate markets.  This does not mean we have moved back into a sellers market.  Home sellers who intend to actually sell, need to show the buyers the value.  Pricing is very important, if you want to sell your home for 600K but no reasonable buyer is going to pay more than 550K you better price your home at 550K  or you may as well not even put your home on the market.  The home buyers are not dumb, and they for the most part don’t even look at homes they feel are even a little bit over priced.
