Morristown NJ Real Estate Activity

A summary of the Morristown NJ real estate market for March 2008.  There were 16 homes sold and closed last month here in Morristown New Jersey.  That is a fairly good number considering that most if not all of those homes had to have been under contract in February or earlier, not a traditionally strong time of the year for Morristown NJ real estate.Here are some of the home sales from March’s Morristown NJ real estate market:

• 44 Ridgedale Ave. Unit 242 in Morristown Court.  A 1 bedroom 1.1 bath condo built in 1996.  Sold for $305,000 in 27 days on the market.
• 6H Dorado Dr. in Convent Mews. A 2 bedroom 2.1 bath condo built in 1980.  Sold for $347,500 in 132 days on the market after being listed at $375,000
• 25 Windmill Dr. in Windmill Ponds.  A 2 bedroom 2.1 bath condo built in 1984.  Sold for $401,000 in 117 days on the market after being listed at $439,900.
• 85 Taft Lane in Morris Place.  A 2 bedroom 2.1 bath condo built in 2003.  Sold for $435,000 in 30 days on the market and being listed for $454,900.  Morris Place Condos
• 48 James Street A 3 bedroom 1 bath colonial built in 1948.  Sold for $459,000 in 77 days on the market.
• 54 Sherman Pl. in Morristown’s Sherman Park.  A 4 bedroom 3 bath ranch built in 1965.  Sold for $470,000 in 75 days on the market.
• 4 Tuxedo Place in Morristown’s Tuxedo Park.  A 3 bedroom 1.1 bath colonial built in 1950.  Sold for $485,000 in 157 days on the market.
• 20 Twombly Ct. in Morristown’s Twombly Condo’s.  A 2 bedroom 2.1 bath condo built in 1995.  Sold for $545,000 in 18 days on the market.
• 7 Perry St. In Morristowns Historic District.  A 8 bedroom 4.1 bath Victorian built in 1882.  Sold  for $525,000 in 422 days on the market after having been listed for $924,900.
• 39 Colles Ave. In Morristowns Historic District.  A 3 bedroom 2.1 bath Carriage House which was renovated in 1985.  Sold for $775,000 in 14 days on the market after being listed for $789,000.
