Morristown NJ Real Estate Statistics April 2008

There is quite a large number of homes currently for sale here in Morristown.  I thought I would give everyone a breakdown of the actual Morristown NJ real estate numbers as they stand April 17th 2008. 

As of today’s date there are 131 homes currently for sale here in Morristown NJ, with a average days on the market of 73.7 and a average price of $469,018.  The lowest priced home currently for sale is priced at $219,000 and the highest priced home is currently priced at $1,795,000.  The longest time spent on the market for a home currently for sale in Morristown is 358 days on the market.

So far in 2008 there have been 55 homes sold and closed in Morristown NJ.  The lowest priced home sold so far sold for $202,500.  The highest priced home sold for $775,000, and the average priced home sold for $395,785.  The average time to sell for Morristowns 2008 home sales has been 97.7 days on the market. with the longest time spent being 422 days on the market and the shortest being 1 day on the market.

So what story are these statistics telling us?  To me the story being told is that homes are selling in Morristown New Jersey, but they are not selling at a real fast pace.  This means that there is plenty of selection for the Morristown Home buyer, and that Morristown home sellers should be sure to price their homes to show value and be sure that they address as many issues in their homes as possible.
